What is the maximum distance?
It depends on the radio and line of sight. NanoStation units reach 15+ km and PowerBeam 25+ km in ideal conditions; the survey confirms the real figure.
Do we need line of sight?
Yes — long-range links need a clear line of sight. If buildings or trees block it, we raise the mast or add a relay point.
How fast is the link?
airMAX ac radios deliver hundreds of Mbps depending on distance and conditions — enough for a whole office and many IP cameras.
Does weather affect it?
The radios are built for outdoor use; a properly designed link keeps a safety margin to stay stable.
Can I run CCTV over the link?
Yes — it is one of the most common uses: cameras at gates, fences and remote sites are carried back to the recorder in the main building.
